@ollies.mama.23: Pregnancy is supposed to be a time filled with joy, anticipation, and excitement, but PPROM (Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes) stole that from me. What should have been one of the happiest chapters of our life turned into a constant state of fear, hospital visits, and holding our breath every single day. It was terrifying, isolating, and exhausting.. both physically and emotionally. I’ll never forget the way it changed me. I’ll never forget the nights I cried, wondering if my baby was going to make it. I’ll never forget how my body felt like it betrayed me. But more than anything, I’ll never forget who showed up for me. The people who checked in, who held space for my emotions, who didn’t try to brush it off or make me feel like I was overreacting… you helped carry me through. And just as clearly, I’ll never forget who made it worse. The ones who stayed silent, who questioned my decisions, who disappeared when I needed support the most. Moments like this reveal people’s true colors, and I saw them all. PPROM changed everything. It shattered my expectations of what my last pregnancy would look like.
