@danalynnharper: The complete work can be seen in the comments. This bunny artwork is made of brass metal clay, velvet, glass beads, stuffing and wood. I use the bunny to symbolise myself, my vulnerability - the part of me that is necessary in order to create my work, to connect with others and build a deep meaningful life. Vulnerability is also something that I grew up very fearful of and have tried my hardest to reclaim in adulthood. It's my Chinese Zodiac and is claimed to be the luckiest of all signs which I've always found a little ironic because it's a prey animal and one of the smaller animals in the Chinese zodiacs. In this work the bunny is running in the dark, which symbolizes my search for my ancestry, my family's history.
