It’s a computer science degree, not a software engineering degree. Computer science is about studying computabity not writing software. Practical knowledge like that should only be seen in elective courses

Yeah we were never taught, just expected to use it. Kinda through us into the deep end during our 3rd semester comp arch class that had group projects.

I had classes called “Software Engineering” and a had a data structures class that required us to use git and bitbucket respectively but I know friends from other colleges or universities that had no experience using them in school at all. Very strange

B.S in Computer Science is theoretically. B.A in Computer Science is applied. Alot of students need to take B.A in Computer Science than B.S
