Unfortunately I think why we’re hyper invisible boils down to one common denominator; misogyny. Unfortunately so many people in the queer community ARE misogynistic or have internal misogyny they’re not aware of and it leads them to pushing trans men to the side and basically telling us to “man up” because we are men now. In turn all of our experiences no longer matter because they believe “women’s should be seen not heard” but because we ARE men it’s also toxic masculinity so we just need to “get over it”. This might just be how I see it so please don’t attack me for it, I’m just stating my opinion on the topic. If that doesn’t make sense I apologize it’s very late

it’s so disheartening to see just how deeply embedded misandry is in the queer community, especially around trans mascs and trans men. just because those identities are male and masculine, does not mean we are automatically given a “free pass” in society. it’s not the simple, it’s never been that simple, and we should be allowed to talk about it without being told shit like that.

For me it seemed that when I started to medically transition and pass better it felt like the community I had with other queer people vanished, but i also don’t get accepted by cis male spaces most of the time either, it’s extremely lonely and isolating, it’s important to open up the conversation, how we feel and our issues are just as valid as any other when it comes to the queer community as a whole.

even as a dyed in the wool transfem lesbian, I loath how prevalent the "ew, men" mentality it. it's so alienating to any pan, bi, straight transfem, or transmasc people who want community. so many of the loudest transfem voices online are from those who haven't reconstructed their toxic relationships with privilege, and cry victim when challenged on it; completely ignoring all of the other people they've victimised or ignored. 😒

I'm so so happy that trans women/fems are getting recognition and love from the queer community, but on the flip side I am so ANGRY at the fact that trans men/mascs are still ousted from the very same community bc *checks notes* masculinity bad 😒 the inherent hatred of masculinity of any form is forcibly removing a whole part of our community and NOBODY is listening bc of this perceived victimhood towards ppl WHO ALSO EXPERIENCE VIOLENCE

Thousands of people had been banned from the main trans subreddit just because they interact in different trans communities that the moderators don't like, so believe me, it's not even surprising....he mods are EXTREMELY biased, and as soon as they don't like your opinion, they will probably ban you
