@Chris Posillico: I think there’s less of a gap between different swing mechanics than people think there is. what it comes down to a lot of the time is really just articulating very similar concepts in different ways. I get what you mean about the barrel tilt in isolation but when done at the same time as other components of the swing it looks a lot like what your teaching too.

Also a tilt is a pop up many times. Or line drive with loads of topspin. You can have some success with a big tilt but angles have to be on the money

Your tilt and turn on that back leg brings the rearward barrel forward on plane with the ball. If you don’t understand what’s going on in a swing, don’t put yourself out there.
