@jillmichelle13: My dad’s smile could light up a whole room, and usually did without him even trying. He was the kind of man who’d teach you how to skin a deer one day and then turn around and make the best dill pickles you’ve ever tasted with cucumbers and dill he grew in his own garden the next. His sunflowers were taller than our fence, and his heart was even bigger. He lived for hunting, fishing, feeding people, and showing up for everyone, from his childhood friends to his great grandbabies. He wasn’t perfect (the black eye in my newborn pics says it all 😂) but he fought hard to give me a better life. He raised me to survive, to love deeply, and to give more than you take. He was murdered in 2018, and I miss him every day. But if I can give my kids even a sliver of what he gave me, then that’s everything 🩵 #mydaddyismyhero
