@dtbennett: THIS is why your brain is filled with negativity and fear. you're reinforcing old brain wiring by constantly highlighting your mistakes. in terms of neuroplasticity, this is keeping old, unhelpful brain wiring that keeps you stuck. this can lead to fear, anxiety, and relationship problems hypnotherapy - hypnosis - neurolinguistic programming - psychology - brain reprogramming
I personally am starting to improve this for myself.
I am not good at the positive thinking, but I'm getting good at correcting the negative. when I mess up and say something mean to myself (usually insulting things) I usually correct it with "hey, that's not ok, I made a mistake and that's ok. it happens, that doesn't mean 'I'm _(insert insult here)_' it just means I made a mistake." and it's been helping.
