Watch till the end to see one of my tricks that I think has helped keep me from getting ringworm all these years 🙏🏻 Animals with ringworm are euthanized in shelters all the time, just like this family almost was 🥲 Shelters in Texas are completely full of animals at all times due to our extreme overpopulation issue, and so they have to make tough decisions about who gets put down to make more space. Simple medical issues like this will land them on the euth list over a slightly healthier animal 😓 Ringworm is a simple fungal infection on the skin, similar to athlete’s foot or a rash you might pick up in a dirty locker room 😖 Luckily it is pretty harmless and is treatable. Lots of handwashing, bleaching of fabrics, and general cleanliness habits can easily prevent it in my experience. I also sanitize my phone after filming them and handling my phone!
