@100daysrule: The TED Talk by Michael brody-Waite (Great leaders do what drug addicts do) is one that every person should watch at least once. Addiction is fundamentally a dependency on unhealthy coping skills. What I find interesting about the culture of sobriety is that it's fundamentally about developing a healthy relationship with failure, disappointment and regret. How well you manage these as well as your body and your relationships is how you stay sober. The mindset of a person in recovery is that "I will try again as many times as I fail because the alternative is death". This annual resolution of mine to assume next year will be harder than this one and work on taking big uncomfortable steps for a hundred days--ultimately is a similar pledge. "I will improve my life as many times as it requires because I'm the one that has to live in it."
