Grandma to 9 yo granddaughter who lives w me on weekends. Have seen the dissassociation with my mom and her grandkids as they got older and will totally give space when that time comes. Thoroughly enjoying the relationship now. We were learning how to knit together last night. Enjoy your memories and dreams with no regret.

Ugh. This is my with my grandpa. He was my best friend even as his grand daughter. Even though we were extremely close, I’d give anything to go back and be more present with him.
