Because a 401(k) is compounded interest compared to other forms of stocks and if you do a Roth IRA, you are not taxed on what you put in but just your earnings but an IRA you are taxed on both

Because the S&P 500 is the baseline for returns. Meme coins and crypto are worthless assets that people buy. If you pick a random stock you could win it big, or a crypto coin but that’s luck.

It’s 10% per year. So you’re one you get 10% on whatever you put in your two you get 10% on whatever you put in plus the 10% you made last time so it kind of like snowballs.
