I’m glad your two dogs found a home with you, and I hope for as humane a solution as possible for this growing situation in Korea, but for those who watch/listen to this and want to adopt, your local animal shelter also has tons of dogs (and other animals) in need of forever homes, and apparently in the US only 57% of shelters are no-kill shelters (per the Best Friends Animal Society stat Google’s AI retrieved), so there’s a chance the local dog you pass over will be euthanized.

This is incredibly sad but it might be the kindest thing to do for just how many there are. I used to be very anti euthanasia, but I’ve come to the obvious conclusion that suffering is worse than a peaceful death. 2 million is unfortunately just far too many to rehabilitate and rehome.

Many countries don't value dogs and cats lives like some ppl in the west do,some westerners consider their dogs family,while others don't.In some countries a animal is animal and a dog & life is no more valuable than other animals..They view dogs as food,or working animals.
