Former cop here in Texas. The Texas IDs have the word “…identification…” in a sentence on the back but the 2nd “I” doesnt have a dot on it. Thats how we would tell the real ones from fake ones lol

It's REALLY hard for someone to make a fake ID with all counter measures on it and UV signs and the chip. The drivers license also has DataMatrix (a form of QR) and only those with allowance from the Data inspection agency can use it.🇪🇺

I had a few friends fly out to visit from out of state for a convention. After the convention we went bar hopping and this bouncer at this local bar tried that shit. We got her ID back because he didn’t want us to call the police and we left. All because he didn’t recognize out of state IDs, even stated that he had a scanner but didn’t want to use it

So I don’t remotely look 21, and haven’t for years. If some random bouncer threatens to keep my ID, I’m calling the non-emergency number to report a theft of government property. If they want to reject me, that’s their perogative. They’re not keeping a dang thing.
