Hawk the roany pony Mustang🤎🤍 This boy is incredible and has gone through so much. He was injured at the corrals and Wendy in the adoption office kindly asked us to help him. I went up to see him and another horse who had been injured. The first time I saw him a wrangler rode into his small area and he tried to run and slipped on the ice and went under the fence. The second time I saw him he was run full gallop into a closed gate and went down in front of my eyes. I thought he was dead. Thank God he scrambled to his feet and we loaded him and Chief safely and get them home. Hawk was complete unable to bear weight on his injured leg but Janelle worked with him and we actually used so many things, in the hope one would help, from antibiotics to CBD pellets. Finally it fused and he was able to start walking better and better. All we had wanted is that he would be out of pain and could get around a pen, but he had better and bigger plans. He took on Elsa and her twin girls Promise and Hope, added Angel and a few other mares and now lives in harmony with Phoenix with a somewhat smaller band. And life is good and he runs the rugged hills without a misstep and shows us all to never underestimate the strength and power of these wild mustangs. They can endure a lot and come out the other end triumphant and living their best lives, which I think Hawk is. All he needed was for that one person at the BLM to have taken a chance on him and given us a chance to help him and we all won. Them, us and especially the horse !!
