I 💯 agree. I had surgery over the summer I put it off till the summer so I could recover and they mandated we show up on June 30 and they have us going back 2 days early for PD. I do not understand!

California substitute and I get paid to take my yearly continuing education and mandated reporter courses at home (or at the beach) on my laptop. I work for 4 districts. So that's times 4 $ for the same courses. Labor laws are strong here. 💙

What?! They can’t do that in our district! That’s crazy! What if you are on vacation?? If we chose to go to a summer development, they would have to pay us our contact wage of $38/hour, which is why they don’t do it!
