No, I would be asking for money back out of your deposit and first months rent or whatever it was to cover a hotel stay while they are getting that fixed

Landlord here… DEMAND a credit at the very least for the days without AC. If it isnt fixed by the next rent cycle put your rent in escrow and notify the management- that will kick them into gear.

They need to take your electricity bill off your rent for the month.

This happened to my sister. They moved her to a new unit within a week. She had to raise hell non stop getting them to do anything. I’m so sorry this is happening

Property manager here, mention to her that the home was uninhabitable… that usually gets the credit moving faster. I’m sorry to hear about your experience! One of these items may have been excusable but with all the issues you’ve had, the least they can do is a credit

I worked in property management and I’m wondering why they didn’t offer transferring you into another home?!

I hope they are taking money off your rent . You could go stay at a hotel and minus it off the rent due to the hot conditions I have done that when I rented due to all different kind issues .

You’re lucky you even got window units. Technically they didn’t have to do that.

For a “luxury” apartment, they BETTER be doing checks before ppl move in! That’s crazy. Fun fact: I used to work for a septic company & the dry p-trap thing is true. If the smell is gone now & you keep using all the plumbing regularly, it shouldn’t return!

The fact that no one has lived there and it’s a luxury it should not have so many issues.

Yes, traps get dry when not in use. Very very common especially in summer time. All the stuff … not ok
