Stop putting tape over coil access panels. It looks like junk and makes them difficult to service. Caulk and proper mounting are the correct way but if you have to use tape. Remove the access panel and tape under it with mastic tape (not putty) then reinstall the panel. If your hang job can’t hold up with the door panel off then you did it wrong any way
