@paradigmofperfection: Calisthenics vs weights: Shrimp squat vs. BB back lunge
Both: work a combination of the glutes, hamstrings, and quads
Shrimp squats: progress/regress by inc/dec range of motion, additional balance challenge due to standing on 1 leg, requires more mobility (ankle, hip, knee)
DB back lunge: progressed/regressed by inc/dec weight, biases the glutes a bit more (but still works the other muscle groups too), requires less range of motion
