I just graduated dental school, USC doesn’t teach amalgam? We still learn the history and have multiple clinical competencies using amalgam on patients. Very interesting

Composite=white fillings. Amalgam=silver fillings…was the standard years ago, doesn’t mean it was bad. Replacing a filling (of any material) causes “trauma” to the tooth, which could lead to sensitivity. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t done correctly.
