funny being the black kid in middle school and being asked to write a paper on someone famous that I looked up to and behold I wrote a paper on Ozzy. Being a rebel, an outcast, the one who stood by myself because many didn't understand me. I felt like Ozzy knew exactly what I was going through and that is why 17 years later I still look up to him.

Guys, I feel so bad because I didn't get to go to any of his concerts because of my age. It's not unfair that my father was born earlier and doesn't love Ozzy and calls his songs "papatza" while I cry every time he plays a song by Ozzy. After the last concert, I cry secretly every night watching Ozzy videos. Oh my god, I love him so much.

This is what Ozzy did for me. Long story, I was 8, riding shotgun in my dad’s semi heading down the highway, ozzy’s song “mama I’m coming home” came on. That solo was my favorite part of that song And instantly became a fan. Fast forward to 2008, halfway through my sophomore year of high school, dad became ill, very ill. Turns out, bone marrow cancer. Not sure the stage it was at but it was bad. By the end of sophomore year, my dad is 300 miles away from home and I seen him once in the 3 years my dad was getting treatment. I rode my bike around town for hours. Listening to Ozzy and other classic rock bands but Ozzy was the only one who kept me grounded, together and hopeful. Every album. But that one song would come on and I would break down because I never knew when I’d see my dad. But Ozzy was there for me when no one else could be.

my mom took her life a couple weeks before we were supposed to go to ozzfest.. ozzy and metal music are my only connection to my mother. knowing ill never get to meet or see him kills me

Ozzy is my favorite artist and has been since I was about 12 or so. The first time I heard his music I knew right then and there he was the best, he was my first concert at 17 years old in okc at the ford center. I’ve read his book multiple times and it’s absolutely amazing

I remember being a kid and my mom and stepdad listening to the No More Tears and No Rest For The Wicked albums on repeat. Those albums were pivotal to my taste in music now. Ozzy isn’t just a great artist, he’s the whole reason I love music.

I remember when and where I was the first time I heard his first solo track. Crazy Train literally stopped me in my tracks. It changed the way I heard music. Have loved Ozzy for decades 🥰🥰
