This habitat will set the stage for an extraordinary new chapter in wildlife conservation, education, and an unparalleled guest experience. Guests will step into an immersive, lush habitat, one of the larger gorilla habitats in the United States. Congo Falls will be home to eight western lowland gorillas, a bachelor troop of four male gorillas, and a family group of one silverback and three females. Congo Falls is one of the most innovative zoological gorilla habitats designed to date, encompassing 2 acres and featuring three separate and unique gorilla areas, a 30-foot waterfall with a pool for water play, and Mays Family Silverback Peak, a gorilla tower more than 70 feet tall – the tallest in the world. The unique habitat design will allow for 360-degree views of gorillas and feature overhead walkways for both guests and gorillas; this experience will foster a new understanding of their world and promise unforgettable encounters. And, best of all, it's almost ready to GO!
