The thing is, this could very well happen in your own house. But then it’s not just an inconvenience it’s 100% your problem. You’d still need to wait on a handy man to come and fix it unless you wanted to do it yourself but that still costs you time and money. I love renting but it keeps going up. At least with my house I don’t have to deal with yearly increases but the stress is so much greater. If the increase isn’t a main factor for you then renting is the way to go. Plus buying a house before you kids are in school can have its own challenges. You don’t want to be locked into a district that could possible not meet your kids needs if they require special education.

Yeahhhhhh we are still renting and there’s a lot of reasons why I hate but I will say I’m glad we didn’t buy the house we’re renting bc they had to replace the AC washer and dryer and floors and will need to do something with the roof. All just this year alone

Look into a property management company! We’ve lived in apartments for years and fought so hard for them to fix every little thing. We just switched to a condo rented by a property management company and it’s been a night and day difference! Every maintenance request has been fixed quickly and we get to schedule maintenance now so we know exactly when they’re coming and aren’t waiting around all day for them not to show up. We knew immediately we plan on resigning next year. 🫶🏼

We upgraded to a townhouse that is disconnected from other units, so it has no shared walls and you have fences..so it’s a step up from an apartment but not the full blown huge step of a house. It’s perfect for our season of life! Apartment life is great until it isn’t 😂😭
