@drsadati: My beautiful 59-year-old patient is one of many from out of town. One of the things Stacy talks about in her interview that we're going to share next week is when we had our first in-person consultation together I knew she was interested in getting the CO2 laser, and within five minutes into our consultation, I had a hunch she had some Cherokee Indian in her skin or in her family. She looked at me, surprised that I was able to tell so quickly. I pointed it out that we wouldn't be able to do the CO2 laser and that a TCA peel would be better. For my out-of-town patients like Stacy, we ask that you stay in the area for about two weeks. This allows me to ensure you’re healing properly and provides ample time to begin recovery protocols. Depending on your schedule, you may also be able to fit in a few sessions of light therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and lymphatic drainage before heading home. Once you return home, we transition to virtual follow-ups. The most important consideration for out-of-town patients is finding a local practice that can help continue your recovery treatments. While it’s not mandatory, if you can find someone to support your post-op recovery, it will be well worth the effort.
