@gregorydickow: As crafty as the devil was, he got Adam and Eve to feel guilt and shame before they even sinned. Before they ever ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, he shamed them. He said: “You’re less than.” “You’re inferior to God.” And they believed it. That lie gave them an inferiority complex they didn’t even have. It wasn’t about the tree— It was about how they saw themselves. They weren’t less than. But they thought they were. So they behaved like they were. Because we behave like we believe. If you believe you’re less, you’ll live like you’re less.
