Let us look at some of the biblical knowledge we would have received had we been led to follow the Divine Order of the Gospel before we got to Romans 10: 9 9.” That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” …………..Romans 10 : 9 KJV In chapter 1, instead of preaching to this mixed crowd of Jews and Gentiles about going to hell after they physically died, this message begins with us knowing that we are living our life in sins and that we are fully aware that our sinful life violates the Will of our God Consciousness. In chapter 6, we would have heard the Word of Faith that God by His Grace had united, baptized, the whole human race in the death and resurrection of Jesus. We would also know that because our sinful nature, which made us sin without needing our permission, was still united in Jesus in His Grave, when God breathed His Spirit of Eternal Life in Him and He was born again, we too were born again united with God’s Spirit of Eternal Life. In chapter 8, we have been given the power of choice to live united to our old sinful flesh to satisfy our self which included our carnal mind or we can choose to live in God’s eternal purpose of our creation and live by following the Guidance of the Spirit of Jesus in us in and in His Written Word through the Apostles. Now if we already knew the Gospel of Salvation is an invitation from God for all to live in this life by Faith in being born again how can we interpret Romans 10: 9 to mean being saved to refer to life after our physical death in this message? Remember we are all under God’s Grace. God did not condemn the Apostle Peter for believing in error and neither will He condemn us if we are willing to walk in His Light as it is being revealed to us. Galatians 2: 11- 21. Amen. God Bless.
