After my first tattoo, I took the artist's instructions very seriously, and swapped all my products for scent free ones, and suddenly all the chronic rashes and itchiness was gone.... turns out I'm allergic to the scents in skincare and haircare products 🙃

Best advice I got - tattoo is a million little paper cuts. Take care of it like a paper cut, I.E. alcohol based cleansers are bad, gentle soap and water are good.

Had a friend who got a fine line tattoo on her foot, and went and had a soak in the bath for hours on the same night😳 she was so surprised that hers became a black blob and mine healed perfectly, because I LISTENED!

I have 4 Tattoos and the BEST thing for me was an ointment named bepanthen for eyes and nose. Idek why but my Tattoos always healed perfectly with it and the itchyness was gone within 3 days

I’m heavily tattooed yet still get given aftercare instructions every single time because they say they have to. And I need to now sign an extra consent saying I’m aware a tattoo is permanent
