@annaowenn: New legs, who dis? All good news!! Josie had bilateral osteotamy of her metatarsal bones on May 30 and we got to see her feet for the first time today! They look amaaaaaaazing!! They were scabbed and a bit bloody of course, but completely straight! Praise the Lord. The orthopedic doctor said they are healing better than he expected and said she could start putting minor pressure on them if she wants to. She got fitted for ankle braces that we will get when we go back in a month, and she picked out a heart pattern ❤️ I haven’t gotten squeamish in a LONG time with her, but I got a bit sick to my stomach today watching them cut the casts off and pull the pins out 🥴 oof science is cool but also really gross sometimes 😂😂 She went in to the dr telling me she didn’t want surgery again, but she left in high spirits because her leg casts are now yellow 💛 We are on the home stretch, people!
