I will never understand why doctors still think people are going to change their mind. Everybody told me I was gonna change my mind. I’m 42. I still don’t have kids and I don’t want them. I’m a very good auntie and I like to keep it that way and I mean every motherfucking buddy told me I was going to change my mind except for my mom because she knows me! I’m a dog mom not a human mom

I worked in a pediatrician office in Fort Lauderdale this mom is so right. We had young girls this happened to. No one listened no one cared. Mind you they were old enough to fight the cancer but not decide on their future.

Stalking your page now bc of this topic😂 however, I have a friends who got pregnant at 14 & her dad forced an abortion and then forced sterilization. Idk how he found a doctor to do that against her wishes, but the fact doctors are refusing a surgery that they have requested is crazyyyy!!

im not trying to side with her, but if I was a doctor I would 100% refuse. she is 14, she’s far to young to make that decision nor truly understand what that means, also that’s just not what the doctors are there for. i dont think any doctor in good conscience could sterilize a minor when the potential of them not wanting children could’ve been a temporary mindset, and later on in life they might’ve wanted children. ive been wanting to be sterilized since 16, im almost 20 now but im likely going to wait until mid-twenties. for girls or even minors, 18 at least, and even then I honestly think people should wait longer, it’s a permanent decision, people should treat it as such.
