i forgot how much i loved superman, hollywood ruined him for me, too focused on his fights and powers and different people he can beat. He used to be the most pure and perfect character ever not just superhuman strength and invulnerability. his true strength was his heart. this edit reminded me how much i love this character man well done 🤝🏽🙏🏽

I remember also thinking Superman was boring when I was younger. I've always loved super heroes and my favorite one was Batman who's world is rich and full of complexity. Then I got to read "All Stars: Superman" by Grant Morrison for the first time and, well, I feel on my knees. This comic had so much emotional impact on me, I remember crying when Superman saved that one girl from herself and her desire to die. And the fact that Superman himself, the most powerful hero alive, was facing the fact that he was going to die was kinda cathartic, ngl. By the end of the story, I finally understood Superman and why we need a hero like him.
