Workplace harassment has a specific legal definition. And it’s not short. Most employees don’t make it clear in a complaint how the unwelcomed conduct they are experiencing is based on their protected class or characteristic. Harassment isn’t a boss being rude to you or holding you accountable. General rudeness isn’t illegal. For what you’re experiencing to be illegal harassment, you’ll want to demonstrate in detail what is occuring, that it’s unwelcome, you either have to endure it to keep your job and/or it’s *severe or *pervasive, and that it’s occuring because you’re pregnant or Muslim or Latino or disabled etc. Employees who aren’t being treated well, but that treatment isn’t harassment or discrimination, can still file a complaint. Many companies don’t like bad behavior even if it’s not to the level of illegal behavior.
