I see your’re hurting and very frustrated from a person experience and broken system I totally get that and I’m so sorry for what you have gone through! I feel like I have a multi faceted pov as I’ve been on the side of receiving horrible and negligent care and also amazing care plus have worked in various fields of healthcare before. I truly think the overall evil is the system in which has changed from seeing an individual as a person and not just another bed to fill and had prioritized paper work and corporate greed rather than patient care which does put most health care workers between a rock and a hard place however with that being said there are plenty of pos healthcare workers who give the others a bad name and anyone that is empathetic and good at their job should be able to see your view and not take it personally tbh yes it is super tough being a healthcare worker they get abused on multiple levels which isn’t right but that doesn’t mean they should take it out on the patients they are being paid and took an oath to treat! A patient is at the mercy of their healthcare workers at their most vulnerable times of need so patient blaming and trying to victimize themselves most def isn’t the answer which I feel is how you were seeing the it in your comment that this nurse replied to. Ultimately I think my point is while both sides deserve empathy respect and change and two things can be true at the same time it shouldn’t negate the fact patients are ultimately the victims and are the ones that are suffering from this regardless b/c at the end of the day a health worker can go home and live life to its fullest whereas a patient has to live with the consequences of inadequate care for the rest of their lives or lack there of!
