@thesquatbox: #onthisday this is sliving. taking your first steps at 7 when the dcotors said you would never be able to. a few months before Maddie passed away a friend gifted me this upsee device. Now I want to preface that typically the child will have both feet strapped in and the device on her chest is strapped to me however one of maddies legs was longer than the other due to osteoporosis and hip issues. so I improvised the best I could so she could have this moment. she was a little nervous I mean I would be too if I was 7 and had never walked on my feet but her little face when she realized what was going on made the 4 days of prep and PT visits all worth it. we ended up donating this device to a pediatric therapy center near us to help other kiddos have this experience.
