Her story is painful, and absolutely contributes to her behavior. But as someone who also had a traumatic childhood, you have to choose to do the work and be better than you had. Sometimes she seems to be trying but she has a tendency to reason away her negative or abusive behavior instead of taking full accountability and pivoting. People’s actions or feelings cannot make you do things. You have to exhibit self control and regulate your emotions. Its not easy, but its necessary for a healthy relationship. Her best option would probably be to continue therapy and be single until she can manage this. Sending her light and love. 💛

Huda said she discussed some of this stuff in the villa (either with Jeremiah or others she didn’t clarify) and she was surprised it hadn’t been shown. I felt like I understood Chelley, Amaya and Olandria a lot more when they were talking about their childhoods and their vulnerabilities. Chelley mentioned how at one point her and her family were living in shelters, Olandria said she was raised by a single mom and she had to grow up quickly and was always the responsible one. I hate that production edited out an important part of Huda’s upbringing that would bring more clarity to who she is. These vulnerable moments are what make us connect with and empathize these islanders when they are going through tough times.

And the haters were still putting her down after that interview. why are Chris, Chelley & Olandria lovers so racist and mean against her? She’s literally just a person who had a life experience that she should be allowed to share and heal from without the necessary hate. It makes me angry at the community that went through trauma in history and life that doesn’t acknowledge it for another single individual. My ancestors went through their own as well but it makes me empathize not hate a woman for her existence. I’m so angry for her. Fear Jesus, fear God. Why would you hate someone for something you would want to experience hate for??

It pisses me off so much because really what did she do wrong besides being rude to Amaya and Iris which clearly they forgave her and are friends with her? She cussed out a man who admitted to giving her false hope and not acting in his words, a man who was supposed to be with her and didn’t comfort her or even just say we can talk tomorrow after they were split. Chris was emotionally immature and wouldn’t let Huda try and bend her boundaries FOR HIM.
