I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel it.
I’ve been writing since I was 14 and I read a lot. Never published, but I’ve worked as a ghostwriter.Sometimes, when I read something, I just know it wasn’t written by a real person. It’s hard to explain, but the emotion is missing.
AI can mimic it, but if you’ve really written or read with your heart, you can tell. It just feels off.

completely get your point, but using ChatGPT also is horrendous for the environment. there are ways to seek out and learn about genAI sentence structures and limitations without feeding the machine and wasting resources 😅

I guess you could say ChatGPT has it's own very specific voice 😁

Anyone who uses chatGPT to “brainstorm” or “write” or “give prompts” is not a writer nor a creative and nobody wants it 😌

I programmed my ChatGPT using the seven Westerns, five rom-coms, eight paranormal shifters and three cozy mysteries I have ghostwritten for Harper Collins and Simon and Schuster. Those books comprise the only source material it can draw upon.

I switch off when I see AI writing. It's not about the emdash, it's about that forced comparative structure that signals there wasn't a thought involved in the sentence construction. If it dwells on all the things that aren't as a way to say what is, then I aren't reading it.

I tried giving it some scene prompts that I had already written to see what it would come up with and for some reason (completely not prompted) it kept having the characters make dramatic toasts 😂

I CAN TELL!!!!! when rachel zegler and gal gadot introduced the nominees for that award like with a maybe 40 word speech IT WAS AI GENERATED and nobody said anything but it was so glaringly obvious and embarrassing

Ok, but this will create a witch-hunt and a lot of people who don't use it at all will be unrightfully blamed. We are humans and we can be wrong too, many people will be damaged.

it’s very worth noting you can learn to spot AI without generating with it and contributing to the problem! it is not worth depriving communities of their clean air and water

This is only the beginning. AI is in it’s in infancy. In a few more years, it will be indistinguishable between AI and the best writers in the world.

‘Editing articles written by chatgpt to make them sound like it was written by a human.’ Or you could let ACTUAL humand write articles. AI is OVERUSED.

I uploaded a paragraph to one of those ai “detectors” and it said 91% ai ! I had one em dash, one. I’m deleting all my dashes now.

It's plagurism. If I found out a studio I worked at used it or a writer on my team used it I would quit on the spot.

I wrote my book. I use em dashes. It is not a “tell tale” sign. Saying it is hurts those of us who use them. Chat GPT uses them because it uses author’s work. People are being falsely accused of using AI because of this.

I have very similar professional responsibilities as a content marketer! I'm also an adjunct, and I try to explain to students that I can see that it's AI without any sort of detector. It's just....as obvious as seeing one of those AI babies talking!

I've used Ai for searching words. Just Meta on messenger. Like the other day, I couldn't remember what a word was, and searching Google for, the big thingy under a bridge that supports it on the ends. Didn't result in anything lolol. But the AI, played 20 questions with me to figure it out for me. hahahaaaa
