Jessi :
Can you talk about a condition that mimics rheumatoid arthritis? The one I’m thinking of has the joint pain symptoms, both joints affected at the same time, episodic, but does not cause damage to the joints over time.

I’m positive for RA and I’ve tried all the meds the last one was hydroxychloroquine and I had vivid dreams and woke up feeling restless, I want to treat my condition but now I’m just scared because the next step is biologics 🥹

I had swelling eyes and tongue from methotrexate, my rheumatologist said it’s not possible to be allergic to it cuz it’s used to treat allergies….. that can’t be true!

“First, I told my patients that both the positive ANA’s, CN1A antibodies, hypereosinophilia, and low C4 are all flukes and suggested finding a support group.” -My rheumatologist

I go next month to see a rheumatologist for the first time. I am worried they will tell me my symptoms are all in my head or because of being overweight like every single doctor has told me

In my area there aren’t a lot of rheumatologists. I did finally find one that cared about helping me. I ended up getting diagnosed with psoriatic spondylitis and put on Humira. It was working, for the first 9-10 months, but I’m worried it might not be anymore. I hate changing meds, but I understand it’s a necessary evil. It was very interesting to hear about what your day is like.
