What do you think of meteor hammers as monk weapons for dnd? Been thinking about adding them as monk weapons to give monks just a bit of range for my campaign.

I find the meteor Hammer really cool but I'm concerned about overextending my elbows if I tried learning this do you foresee that being a problem for people that have ligament issues?

hear me out. small section of heavy steel chain at the halfway point. you should be able to esentially alternate between two ranges and it might help if youre going in for a grapple

Definitely not reverse grip this would imply you hold the blade of a sword in reverse grip

If thats meteor hammer reverse grip than sword reverse grip is just holding the blade. 😂

that's not a reverse grip that's like if someone grabbed a sword by its blade

You could just hold each end in each hand and then use it as a jump rope. It’s super effective at confusing your enemy and them realizing the fun you’re having will make them see the error in their ways and join in the fun!

As someone who doesn’t know much about a meteor hammer would not putting a strong metal filament line through the cotton rope, increase its durability and allow for counter attacks from more blunt weaponry and slightly sharpened. Well also giving the chance to dislocate and disarm an enemy. At least with this one hand grip?

If the first one isn’t reverse grip this one is even farther it would mean reverse grip would be your anchor hand and what I am going to call the guide hand are reversed not having both in one hand

gets domed with a weight
gets slaped twice by the slack
gets domed again
.
idk seems like the slack slaps are nore of an insult to injury thing in this situation

You had reverse grip right the first time. You don't grab the blade in reverse grip so you wouldn't grab the hammer.

no reverse grip is the rope behind your back in neutral position
