MPO, tournaments should be off limits from June 15-September 15. This would vary from the different regions, north, south etc. Once water reaches 82 degrees and up, it is difficult to sustain a fish for an extended amount of time in a live well when water is that warm. Or they may shorten the time limit on the tourneys to help take better care of the fish. Any other ideas that I might be missing to help with this?

Unfortunate but let’s not pretend that fisheries biologist will tell you we NEED to remove some fish from lakes… No one is keeping bass anymore and that hurts ecosystem on larger scale than a few dying after tournament

Actually they didn’t fizz these fish. If you catch them deep you have to fizz them and get the air out of them and they’ll be fine. We do it all the time and never lose fish

And that’s KY lake. As usual. All these “pros” can’t keep a fish alive and healthy. Only worried about getting that check with them. Also they should be returned to a pocket off the mail lake vs a shallow bay in the summer time.

The lakes by my house, we find the big ones in 60 feet plus on the big spoons, vertical snap jigging
