This makes me nostalgic. The entire union market area used to be called farmers market and there were stores and stalls like this in abundance for fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh meat and fish… negotiations went on, and everything was affordable

I can vouch that their chiles secos are better quality than a lot of other Latin markets around. They also have herbs you don’t find elsewhere, epazote, yierba buena
