I don’t go cause I get weird vibes that someone is profiting off of it and or exploiting the artist. Since the Britney Spears situation, I can’t really listen to participate with huge events like music events bc it feels as maybe something COULD be off. Also maybe cause it can feel a bit overwhelming to be in a space with a ton of strangers and feels like it’s not a communal 3rd space. Idk, also since the cost of living keeps going up. I feel they just milk anything out of you, for you to just to be there.

I was a kid who loved going to Warped Tour b/c of the sheer volume of artists you could see in one space (& the exposure to new artists). As an adult it’s just stressful & overload b/c you DON’T really get to enjoy the music in the same way and you miss a lot of who’s there (& miss finding new artists) as you’re busy trying to get from stage to stage. But I haven’t been to one in a bit, so maybe that’s different?!
