coming from a 17 years old, it depends, there are many young people mature enought to discuss about politics but I don’t think it would be a good adea to let 16 y/o vote, it’s rare to come across mature young people, the majority aren't even aware of what is happening in politics, so it would be a real mess. I'm sorry if I made mistakes, English isn't my first language.

im glad i can vote now, as a 16 year old im very politically aware and it can help other 16 year olds politically aware. I work. I pay tax, why cant i vote then? at 16 you can join the armed forces, but you cant vote? that makes no sense. So its a good thing.

The amount of 18/19 year olds I see who act like absolute toddlers today who already have their votes heavily influenced by social media is insane. And most people who are still at the end of secondary school are not ready for that. If I look at the y11s and think that they can legally vote, I'd be absolutely horrified even though I'm turning the voting age next year... there's no point in changing it.

I personally think voting should start at 21, not a lot of people are rly mature or that much into politics until they are 18-19 at least around here. I think 21 is perfect

As a teen, not a good idea, not a lot of 16 year olds are mature enough to vote, like someone said, they might just follow their parents vote, 18 seems better, if not even twenty, I consider those ages more mature

So.. as someone whos a teen genuinely i dont think its a good idea. Let me state why. 1. Our generation is easily taken in by the media. 2. Mostly half of our generations don't understand what basic manners are, my family has had to experience such rudeness from people who are 2yrs younger than me. I get some 16 yr olds work (barely tho), plus our generation is genuinely so immature and unserious about such things why is it a good thing for them to vote on such big matters that we don't even LEARN about in school too?! 😭
