So tired of this debate. Same with any Superman live action discussion. None are “more accurate” to comics because we have 87 years of Superman in comics. We can have our favs but there is no objectively “better” live action Sups.

The whole point of Superman is he’s a guy in a cape who’s ma and pa raised him to be good! He reminds us to be better than what we are because we can CHOOSE to be. I loved Henry and MoS and i don’t agree that he was “wasted”. Snyder just told a more grim story. And that’s fine. But Gunn? He brought the Superman that inspired me to life.

I forget which comic writer said it but they said something along the lines of “Superman is the easiest character to write because he’s always going to do good, he’s always going to help people regardless of who they are or what other people think. BUT because of that it makes writing a Superman story very difficult. You have to have the people around him grow, change, and be inspired by him.” Gunn did that so well from Guy Gardner showing up in Jarhanpur to Mali the food vendor begging Superman not to tell Lex anything. This movie was Silver Age Superman Comic brought to life in modern day. I can’t wait to see it again and again and again!
