Practice by doing something you like, not something that is believed to be a correct way of learning. If you hate the art, you won’t progress.

Don't erase bad drawings. It made me see what I needed to improve and later on how much I've gotten better

Sorry for language but polish is my national language

Belive that you’re a good artist but never think you’re better than any other artist (unless you’re mentoring then you can be a LITTLE more confident)

Compare only with my past self, aspire to be like my inspirations without becoming bitter, self loathing and jealous. Also keeping in mind that progress happens constantly whether you can see it or not.

The most important thing is patience. The thing about drawing/painting is that you can't give up too quickly. Often, something looks bad at first, but then it only gets better.

This has also helped me tons to keep in mind when I feel like I’m regressing.
