so how much gas is a car consuming while standing? 1-2 liters PER HOUR so you save literally nothing you need to stay one hour in total at a red light with the engine off to save 1-2 liters. also ist bad for the car

Do you know what the repair costs are on those starters? They're about 3 times more. Then a regular starter motor do you know how much electronics go into that type of system that can go wrong? And how much those repairs are? It's a waste of money and I will never buy a car that start stops. I will go to a different brand than ever. By an ev or hybrid gasoline only, and there's millions and millions of us that will never switch

They should make it to where you can enable or disable it in settings so it’s not an every trip thing. Those who want it can leave it on, those who don’t should be able to disable it.

just turn it off. It wears down the flywheel, starter etc much faster and it doesn't help at all to save money.

Saving cents on the dollar. The maintenance on these engines is way worse. There’s a reason mechanics hate this feature. Just think of your cars starter alone
