I feel like if Blinks actually held BP accountable they wouldn’t be this bad performing on stage but because they’ve been coddled for so long, they can get away with a lot of things the average K-pop idol would get torn to shreds online. I think Jennie knows this that’s why she’s been performing badly lately because she knows blinks will glaze her regardless and defend her like their life depends on it

Mind you, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa are fluent in English—especially Jennie and Rosé, since they grew up speaking it. So they knew exactly what the word meant, and instead of changing it to something like 'baby' or another alternative, they still chose to sing it.

Things I’m grateful for today :
As a Korean, it’s actually pretty offensive hearing these fans defend them by saying “that’s just how things are in Korea” & “they didn’t know bc they’re Korean” as if it’s some strange land where everyone is ignorant & inhumane. Sure, these idols are less educated than the average Korean but they still have common sense. If they’re being asked to sing a word they “don’t know” or perform in a style they’re unfamiliar with, they know to look it up.
