@annabelleronnfeldt: Tips for starting your hybrid training journey 🏃♀️🏋️♀️ I do believe you are able to balance both. But firstly, it depends what background you are coming from, whether that is running or lifting. From prior experience, if you are coming from a lifting background and looking to incorporate running into your week: 1️⃣Ease into it. Don’t jump straight to running 30km over the week. Increase your weekly mileage slowly to avoid injuries. Maybe start by running lokm over the week (2 x 5km runs), then 12, 15 etc. don’t just look at individual distance. 2️⃣Add in additional running exercises. Try adding in exercises such as calf raises, single leg work, abductor work etc into your gym sessions. 3️⃣In your gym sessions, take into account the extra training load that will be on your legs. If you’re someone who usually trains legs 3 times a week, then start running 2 times, you’re going to be training legs everyday 😅. So adjust your sessions where needed. Full body strength sessions will become your best friend because of this. 4️⃣Decide which is your main priority. Yes you can absolutely do both, but you have decide which one you are trying to improve on the most, and adjust the other to fit that goal. If you’re looking to start your hybrid journey, my programs are the perfect way to start. Link in bio 🔗 - - #hybrid #hybridtraining #Running #lifting #hybridinspo
