@therealfreckledhan: MY BIGGEST TIP FOR TAKING KIDS INTO A STORE: HAVE A LIST AND DO NOT DEVIATE FROM IT. (A physical list is ideal but I didn't have time this morning to write it down because we were in a hurry.) GO OVER THE LIST IN THE CAR BEFORE YOU GET OUT. Any time the kids ask for something in the store say, "let's see if that's on our list!" And then if it's not on the list the answer is "not this trip!" Sometimes I will take a picture of them holding the item they want so we can "remember for next time we're making a list." The hardest part is the fact that *I TOO* must keep to the list 😅. If I see something I want that's not in the list- I MUST RESIST. The second the kids see me throw something in to the cart that's not on the list all bets are off 🤪 (Also @Walmart totally worth it to save all of this but sometimes you gotta go into the store and when you do-this is critical for the success of the outing!)
