Transcript: Many Indigenous women with disabilities face different multiple barriers and challenges and they do not get the opportunities Text on screen reads "Bhawana Majhi is an Indigenous activist, disability rights advocate, and filmmaker from Nepal. She has a strong passion for climate justice and Indigenous rights and has represented Nepal in global advocacy spaces such as AWID and UNFCCC COP29." I was also selected as a Media Fellow under the Disability Justice Project. During this fellowship, I learnt the rights of Indigenous peoples youth, women, and women with disabilities, their situation in the context of Nepal. These opportunities empower us to grow, contribute and create more inclusive spaces in the society we live in. Let's work together to create and groom leadership of young Indigenous peoples who can make a meaningful impact in the society and be examples.
