A lot of trucks the frame slopes far up near the rear of the truck so you go by the leaf spring mount or sometimes in the front you go by the lower control arms like on the ram 2500s

Tech here: reinforced metal that will ensure that it can hold up the weight of the car example: frame, subframe, control arms or pinch welds, also depends on the job best point is pinch welds make sure to not get plastic or any deformable material between the jack stand and cars weight, never use a jack to hold the car up use the STAND, to be safe search up the lift points of said car, and avoid any wires or brake lines the can break easily hope this helped

in newer civics, open the hood and look straight down. there's an arrow that points to there the jack goes. you can use the tow hook in the rear too...I think.
