They’re basically just guessing But it’s not the technology’s fault Right now, the BEST these devices can do is plug in a few things they can track: * heart rate * age * gender * weight * workout type …and run an equation to spit out a number But here’s where it falls apart:

i don’t really care about the calories cuz I have a feeling that they’re inaccurate, but I do believe in the accuracy of reading the heart rate. that’s how I know when I hit the aerobic/anaerobic state
