1 Jesus didn’t start a “church” he restored the relationship between man & God - you are the church. 2. You have to be born again to inherit the kingdom of God, communion definitely isn’t a “snack” but a remembrance, the apostle doesn’t forgive sins - you can confess to Jesus himself and ONLY HE will forgive you of your sins.

I left the Catholic Church and became Protestant because when I started studying church history, I saw that the earliest Christians and Church Fathers in the 1st and 2nd centuries never prayed to Mary, never asked her for intercession, and never venerated her. Instead, they gathered in their houses and churches to pray directly to the Lord, singing and praising Him just like the prophets and people of God did in the Old Testament. So my question is this: why should I abandon the faith and practice of those earliest Christians who were closest to the apostles and instead follow the practices of later centuries, like in the 4th century, when veneration of Mary began to appear?

You can't label protestant churches like that. Example, we don't see communion as a snack. Many, if not most of the protestant churches dont go off of emotion. You're referring to maybe mega churches or lukewarm Christians. So i ask you to please don't label everyone like this with false facts.

Okay I grew up catholic and something I never understood was why are we confessing to a priest and in a sense a random man our sins and he “forgives” us but the Bible clearly teaches us that the lord is clearly the only way we will be forgiven
